Have a Story Worth Sharing?

JoshTheSparky isn't just about electrical information.

It's about the people, projects, ideas, and experiences behind the trade.

We're always looking for people and stories that deserve to be shared with the wider JoshTheSparky community.

Who Can Be Featured?

You don't have to be a master electrician or have decades of experience.

We may feature:

What Can Be Featured?

A feature doesn't have to be about a person.

It could be a project, story, idea, resource, accomplishment, creation, or something else worth putting in front of the community.

Featured content may appear across JoshTheSparky, including the website, community, social platforms, newsletters, videos, or other JoshTheSparky media.

Want to Nominate Someone?

Know an electrician, apprentice, instructor, creator, or other member of the trade who deserves some recognition?

You can nominate yourself or someone else.

→ SUBMIT A FEATURE

What Happens Next?

Submissions are reviewed before anything is published.

Not every submission will become a feature, and submitting something does not guarantee publication.

If selected, we may reach out for additional information, photos, links, or an interview so we can put together the best possible feature.

Everyone Has a Story.

You don't need to be famous.

You don't need thousands of followers.

Sometimes the most interesting stories come from the people simply showing up, doing the work, learning, teaching, and helping others along the way.

If you think someone deserves to be recognized —

let us know.

📚 Learn Together

Nobody knows everything about the electrical trade.

Not the apprentice.

Not the journeyman.

Not the master.

And that's okay.

The electrical trade is enormous. There is always another article to learn, another concept to understand, another installation method to question, and another experience to share.

JoshTheSparky is built around a simple idea:

Learn. Teach. Question. Improve.

From the NEC and electrical theory to tools, jobsite experience, career development, troubleshooting, projects, and everything in between — we're all still learning.

🤝 Community Guidelines

A good community doesn't need a thousand rules.

Just a few common-sense ones.

Respect People

Everyone starts somewhere. Treat people with respect regardless of their experience level.

Help When You Can

If you know the answer, share what you know. Someone else may be learning from you.

Ask Questions

There is no shame in not knowing something.

Disagree Without Being Disrespectful

Different opinions and interpretations are part of learning. Personal attacks aren't.

No Spam or Scams

Keep the community useful, genuine, and welcoming.

Verify Important Information

Electrical work involves serious safety considerations. Community discussions are not a substitute for the applicable NEC, local codes, manufacturer instructions, AHJ requirements, or qualified professional judgment.
